Some of our guest had this to say about their stay at Steenberg Hotel…

Edgar Quandel & Eric Diehl - November 2009:  It has been a marvelous stay at your wonderful hotel in November 2009. The hotel is bsolutely amazing, the rooms are wonderfully furnished and the personnel has always been very kind and helpful. Tasting the fantastic Steenberg wines in this beautiful environment has truly been a unique experience. Thank you so much for the magnificent time we spent at your hotel. There could not have been a better place to stay while being in Cape Town, the most beautiful city on earth. We'll be coming back!

Charles and Jennifer Keller - September 2009: Arriving at Steenberg we were treated like royalty, and once we saw our rooms we knew that was true! Awakening to breathtaking views of the Constancia valley and the backside of Table Mountain, we set out on our vacation in style. Every one of our requests was met with professionalism and courtesy and we have never experienced such first class treatment. We would highly recommend Steenberg to any discerning traveler who is looking to relax in the heart of South Africa's oldest wine region. Thanks again for making our vacation a one in a lifetime experience.

Gabriella Truman - July 2009: Thank you so much for an absolutely outstaning visit!  This property is a gem that vowed us and your staff is just wonderful.  Our time at Steenberg was far too short...

Margie & Greg de Buyn - June 2009: From the moment we were welcomed by the vivacious lady at the gate, we were made well and truly warmly welcome by each and every member of staff who came our way.  The first thing the lady at the reception desk did was offer us a glass of your delicious Sauvignon Blanc.  We are both Cape Wine Masters, so there could have been no quicker way into hearts! We sipped those while waiting in the cosy lounge for our room to be prepared (and paged through a book on Berlin - one of my favourite cities).  The man who showed us to our room went to great trouble to explain what facilities were available to us and how everything in the room worked.  We then spent a delightful hour or two sampling the wines at the tasting room, exploring the beautiful gardens, and peeking into the heritage suites and the Manor house.  I still think our room was the best!

Ms Saeger - March 2009:  This is an absolutely wonderful place; truly hospitable, wonderful and friendly service.  Better than home way from home.

Christine & Riaan de Villiers - February 2009:  We just wanted to give you some feedback on our wedding on the 07th of Feb.  To say the least, everything was more than we could have hoped for!  From check in till check out everything was perfect.  Loved the room, the set up for the ceremony was perfect, the restaurant was stunning, the food was absolutely amazing.  We will definetely come there for dinner again, compliments to Garth!  All the staff that we dealt with were extremely professional and friendly and everyone went out of their way to make our day special.  So, thank you to everyone that played a part in our wedding day, how small or big it might have been.  Steenberg is such a well known hotel and I don't think it needs any more advertising, but we will definetely recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a wedding venue or for a romantic breakaway.

Mr and Mrs Niehof - January 2009:  "The hotel - especially the staff are truely hospitality professionals.  Excellent!  Thank you for a wonderful stay. Housekeeping and turn down service are great!

Richard Hamilton – November 2008:  "The Steenberg Hotel was the most memorable hotel I stayed in during my two-week golf and Safari tour to South Africa in October 2008.  Although I arrived late in the evening I received a very friendly welcome, accompanied to my room by the manager and a glass of red wine from the estate was sent to my room.  The hotel has a beautiful location just behind Table Mountain, far from traffic but only a short distance from Cape Town, surrounded by its own large vineyards and golf course.  We stayed and ate in beautifully and authentically restored 17th-18th century buildings.  The rooms, lounges and sitting areas were spacious, provided with all necessary equipment and had some lovely pieces of antique furniture and paintings.  The food was good, the service was excellent and we enjoyed different wines from the Steenberg winery every day.  Since the hotel accommodates only a small number of guests the atmosphere was calm and very pleasant.  The hotel arranged for a driver to take us to two excellent restaurants on neighbouring estates and bring us back again."
